With the first two rounds played only hosts WIT have secured a coveted semi final spot. In Group A, NUIG take on UL in a make or break for the remaining semi final slot. With both teams tied on score difference, a draw is no good to either team and in the event of such an occurrence extra time will be necessary.
In Group B, UCD have their two games played, but will be waiting anxiously for the outcome of the UUJ v UCC match. If UCC are to win on Wednesday, both UCD and UCC will go through; however if UUJ are to prevail it will go down to score difference. Hence UUJ will need to beat UCC by a minimum of 5 points thus going through with UCD and forcing UCC into the Shield.
